Stimulus Package?
I am not someone who is in favor of direct handouts.
Now, to some of you that might sound hard particularly if you are doing a little bit though at the moment, but it is like a drug addict for that respect. Getting to more drugs is not going to help.
What you need to do is to cure the problem and the problem is not not having enough money. The problem is the squeeze and the lack of money going round and just spending more money is not necessarily going to solve that, or handing out money that the stimulus package that was put together in the handouts were given at pre-Christmas.
You know, surveys show there is only a third of that that was actually spent. So, you have got really the purpose that was intended for and I do not believe it was.

Hi Dymphna
As always love your audios and your generosity. I particularly LOVE your opinion and find myself to be totally in agreeance with you. Thank You. Have you ever thought of becoming the next Prime Minister? We need a Prime Minister who knows how to MAKE MONEY and knows how to TEACH people HOW to make money. Please start by becoming Premier of our beautiful state of QUEENSLAND so as to build the pipeline from North Queensland to Brisbane and stop the Traveston Dam project from going ahead, which in my opinion will be both an financial and environmental disaster. Love to know your viewpoints on that.

Before I submitted my comment, Kerri-Anne Chilvers has beat me to the punch. Dymphna for PM!
Hello Dymphna,
Infrastructure is the answer , a dam could be built in the Northern Territory, a pipeline from North Qld to SE Qld, a railway line that was suggested from South Australia to Darwin, all these would create many jobs for years to come. Also what happened to support Australian made products. This would create more businesses here in Australia.
Handing out money does not help, we need a better education of money. People still think the government should looks after them and our school still teach the same old way. Where is the subject called ‘Money Management’? Surely they can put it into year 7-10 Maths.
Few days ago, I saw a student holding a Math book and I can not believes it. It is the same book I study 15 years ago.
With the “Stimulus Package”… again, people think the government is going to save us. We DO NOT need stimulus package, we need confident.
There are heaps of money out there, look around us, we raised $12m for Red Cross to help the bush fire within few hours, with all the media pushing together, Australian found over $50m in three days just for Red Cross. This is what media + confident can do.
Hi Dymphna,
I wholly agree with your thoughts.
We need to “value-add” as an economy and this will keep jobs in Australia.
Cheers,
Geoff W
