Please note my comments under the article "The Importance of Pet Insurance". A simple contents policy would have come into play in this instance.

While I agree that the insurance should include all possibilities you need to protect your assets from, but wouldn't the courts take due care and effort into consideration? If he made every effort to have the yard properly fenced, the dog on a lead, etc, I would think he has taken due care. Or are we getting too litigious a society to let some common sense rule?
Just a thought.

Hi Dymphna, Paul & l are looking at purchasing a home in Moranbah QLD. After researching existing homes and being approched by Cash Flow Capital we really like the area and believe we can achieve a positive cash flow return. We have now changed our focus and are looking at purchasing land and building a home or homes ourselves. We believe we can do this cheaper than what a developer is offering through Cash Flow Capital and a new home can attract the depreciation for the 1st 5 years. I am not sure if you remember Paul from the Melbourne Boot Camp, (he is a farmer that is asset rich, more than cash rich). We have just come into some money and have had all our assets revalued. We are hoping that we are heading in the right direction.I know you showed us images of older homes that you had done up and resold and am hoping that building a new home is ok. I realise that we won't receive any rent back until the project is completed, but local agents in the area say that the big mining companies are happy to pay the higher price if they are newer. Please advise. Kind regards Leanne

Hi Guys, I just completed the boot camp in Melbourne. It was Awsome! And I love Dymphnas audios. I run a coffee catch up meeting once a month. If you want to come and chat, visit www.womeninproperty.net.au. We let men come as well and we don't make them wear a dress! We are embarking on some really exciting projects. We also plan on having a regular meeting for members of the Ultimate and Platinums groups. See you there!

Hi Dymphna,

Thank you for your very interesting article.

Can I request some advice. A friend and I are planning to buy an old property in
a growtrh suburb of Brisbane, renovate it and sell it off in say 3 months time. How would you suggest that we set up financial & operational arrangement between ourselves for this project.

I look forward to your advice.

Cheers.
